If you 've never been to a "Romance and Roses" at our church - FBC Smyrna - (and this is our ninth one, so where have you been?!) you've never been to a marriage enrichment event like this one.
First, there is no speaker. No preacher. No sermon. Just dinner and fun. R&R is an evening totally devoted to celebrating marriage.
It's 5 minutes of an 80's Chicago song by a live band.
Then, it can be 5 minutes to give away some door prizes in a way only Charlie and Gina can do so.
R&R will include answering a simple question by telling your mate one thing you like about him/her.
There is always at least one "story" - a live testimony from a couple about where their marriage has been and how the Lord has figured into it.
And there are always surprises. I'd love to tell you what this year's big surprise is, but, well, you understand. You'll just have to be there.
It's a very fast evening because almost nothing about it (besides dinner) lasts more a 5-6 minutes.
Most of all, R&R is laughter. We design it that way. Please consider buying a ticket and coming to this annual event. Year-by-year, it's getting an image of its own and that image is good!
We want you to experience it, too. But come prepared to laugh. A lot.
Tickets are on sale in the FBC concourse on Sundays and Wednesdays before and after services till the event.
Ohhhhhhh I can't believe that I won't be there this year!!!! I can't wait to hear all about it, who the couple is, what the surprise is ~ everything! It will be great, as always!

Wish we could come! But Robert will be in Vegas for business, so I don't think it'll work out! We miss you guys!
